Default Would anyone have pics ?

Of their eggs when they are in their substrate along with the instructions on the method they used ?

Dunno whether to use perlite and put it in the laying box (with sphagnum moss) or remove the eggs from the laying box and place them in perlite ?

Cheers !

Default nest box and incubation chamber.

I use an inch mix of sand and peat then top it off with 1/2 inch of vermiculite, I find the peat/sand mix stops it drying out to quickly,
I find just vermiculite on its own dries out very quick and is quite messy,

I know loads of folks use perlite! but having never used it I wouldnt know what it was like,

Ive always had a good hatch rate using this method so its what I`ll stick too.

and it works ok for me! this is the prove below from this week,

also I use very slightly moist spagnum moss in the nest boxes, thats also horses for coarses, I used to use the same sand and peat mix but moss is cleaner,

And introducing Domino,

all the best and good luck.

The babies are stunning !, so moss in the nest box and then transfer them to the vermiculite/peat/sand mixture ?
