Default escape proofing

hi everyone,

have an exo terra that i keep my mourning gecko's in and low and behold they manage to escape am lucky at the min that they havent strayed too far yet but dont really want to take the risk of the dog finding one

so what im getting at is what is the best way to escape proof an exo terra???

get some 1 inch wide black electrical tape and remove the lid .. and run a length on the over the cable entries .

also run a length on the inside of the door vent ( on the inside)

and see if they are sill getting out of that ..
