Default Semi-Cannabilistic Locusts

So I was watching the locusts, despite have food (both fresh greens and jelly) and water. 4 of the group all ganged up on one locust and ripped its legs off and ate some of it's still living main body then left it to die. They're not even eating all the locusts that get killed.
I kept an eye on them since, and noticed it keeps happening even with different locust batches so it's not just a one off group. Anyone know why they do this or if there's a way to stop it?
It's kind of annoying glut feeding them only for them to off each other as the bearded dragon will only eat live.
