I make several different mixes due to the fact that I keep a few different types of rodent with different dietary requirements.
I was wondering if people who mix their own food might add some of their own recipes for everyone here to have a look at!
I'll give an example of my mouse food mix;
8 parts high quality, low sugar rat food mix, low in nuts & fatty seeds
1 part high quality kitten food (tiny kibble for tiny paws!)
1 part mixed herbs & hays
My current mouse mix uses;
Rattima rat food -

It's a good price, low in nuts and seeds, and contains shrimp as a source of protein.
Royal Canin Babycat (tiny tiny kibble) but a regular kitten food should be fine.
A mixed herb and hay selection which can be eaten and used for nesting material.
Table scraps and fresh fruits and meadow type flowers are given at intervals too!
