Default Lower humidity with fans

Hiya

I've read a bit about the usage of fans to assist with ventilation and air flow within a vivarium, particularly with high humidity species

Could the same be useful for lower humidity species too?

E.g. having a couple of fans to bring in fresh air / take out moist air

No.
You can't change the relative humidity of the environment around the vivarium.
In those situations, the microclimate created by the heat source will do the ventilation, provided you have sufficient ventilation installed, of course.

If you want to lower the humidity then why not introduce something that will absorb / soak up some of that extra moisture.

an example would be some dry absorbent medium placed inside the viv that can be easily accessed and swapped out , if you want to contain this medium , place it inside a suitable tub.

hope this helps
