Default Will this do ?

Hiya everyone

I made the mistake of buying this ....

The glass was loose with sharp edges and the grills were rusty so I ve done some mods ..

Will this be ok for my bearded dragon ?
The plan is to varnish the inside and seal all the joints , should I use silicon 1st then varnish or varnish then seal ?

Just waiting on a reply before I start

I ve ordered the glass runners & when they come I will get the wood to go across the front and fit the glass .

I plan to do a poly background which will be grouted .

Hopefully it will be a good thread build as I ve lots of questions and buying the equipment as I go after members advice

Thanks in advance for any replies or advice

guessing it's a 4x2x2?

just stain the inside with a LOW VOC stain, or just paint it.
you don't really need to go to too much hassle for a beardie as they need a dry, hot viv; so there shouldn't be any moisture to get into the gaps. Just a bead of silicone round the edges and then give the inside a bit of colour if you don't want to leave it as it is.

he said hes going to do a poly background build..

so as meko said, a bead of silicone round the edges, id personaly give it one coat of varnish too incase any moisture gets in because of the poly it wont evaporate like it would in the main viv area
