East Lancs Branch - Xmas Break

Hi All,

We won't be holding a meeting in December. We are having a break for Christmas!

Unfortunately, despite messages sent, the newsletter still contains our inaugral meeting date in October, even two months later.

We will be meeting again in January (TBC)

Hope to have a different venue and hope to see you there.

And on behalf of the committee we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Please do feel free to give myself a call on 07927350945

Cheers
Rob - Chairman

Have you contacted Alan Wilkie directly? I have not had any requests from you to pass onto him. Let me know if you are experiencing problems, as Alan was only asking about this branch the other week.

I heard that the last meeting was only attended by two people? Please keep at it, the branches can be hard work to get going, but are worth it.

IHS Newsletter info

Rob, I was asking Kevin about the status of the branch. If I don't get any infor from folks I can't inform people via the newsletter. I had assumed from what Kevin had said that you had folded!!!
Can you please email me via my IHS email address and keep me informed of what's happening - I don't regularly frequent forums!!!

Alan.

I will fire something across once we have a set date for the January meeting.

We've got a bit of work to do before we are properly ready for full meetings.

The last meeting was only attended by Al and a guest (Barry I think). I was working until 9pm that night unfortunately so wasn't able to attend, neither was Leigh.

We've taken into account that we need a new venue and we will be getting together soon to discuss this.

Yes, it was just Al and Barry - and by all accounts was nearly just Barry! Dont give up on it though, always takes a while!

I've taken a bit of a step back presently and we are re-thinking our strategy. We will hopefully be back soon we just need to get together and have a bit of a re-think. : victory:

Plug on, try to get some interesting speakers if you can. Advertise it on here and Facebook.Dont just limit yourself to herps advertise for other unusual pet keepers if its allowed.

It is difficult, but its worth it in the end. I like meeting hobbyists one to one, to have a chat and a pint.

Agreed, forums are great, but nothing like a good chat with like minded people face to face.

Apologies everyone but everything has been rather mental for us recently. (Myself and Leigh).

We have moved house, had tonnes of hours at work added to my Uni studies we've been struggling to find time to do anything.

We are going to hopefully be re-starting soon.

Will keep you all posted! : victory:
