Default John Foden Memorial Lecture 2012

John Foden Memorial Lecture 2012.

We are happy to announce that this years John Foden Memorial Lecture, will take place at Drayton Manor Park and Zoo.

Saturday 25th August 2012.

Guest Speaker - Nigel Marven (our current President)
Mandarins and Anacondas- Adventures in China and Colombia.

Nigel will show vídeo clips from his new series Untamed China and Wild Colombia (this will be a world premiere of the Colombian herptile sequences, the series won't be transmitted until the autumn). There'll be behind the scenes anecdotes, as well as top facts and herp watching locations. The two countries have a remarkable diversity of reptiles and amphibians.

Gather in 'Grill Inn' Approx. 1900Hrs.

The lecture will begin at 2000 Hrs approx. and will take place in the 'canvassed pavillion' just through the gates down towards the zoo and park.

This event will be FREE to fully paid-up members of the society.

(Note: for those familiar with previous events, due to the re- vamping of the facilities at The Manor, there will be NO buffet laid on.) For those wishing food there is an excellent selection of meals - competitively priced in The Grill Inn.

OOooooopppsss...... still not booked for this one yet.... must get my finger out and do so. Hopefully August turns out not as wet as July and may be able to make a day of it and even stay overnight somewhere close!
