Default Hi guys

I have been browsing the forum for a few weeks now as a guest,
It seems a nice friendly and informative place so I thought I had better join up and say "Hi" so here it is.................. Hi guys

I used to keep a variety of Reptiles and inverts back in the late '70's & very early '80's when much of the "stock" was wild caught
( jeez those retics were stroppy and the royals a PITA to get feeding but "we did it"
and I am sure there are a few here that know what I am talking about!

One way or another I "got out of the habit" I guess its easy to blame having a young family but ultimately, I didn't want T's and large snakes
( Retics, Indians ( Burmese )etc) around very small children with prying fingers.

I have been thinking about getting back "into it" for awhile now,
hence the browsing for info to see how much if anything has changed.

I guess the answer to that is yes and no there is more equipment available over the counter, a few more species and all these colour morphs!

"we" do have one snake though, my son has always wanted a "snake"
so he was promised if he did well in his school exams he would get one
A Common boa was bought as little more than a hatchling
and I am pleased to say a few years down the line he has a fit healthy
2 meter plus female

My other interests are photography ( fairly seriously)
and hunting with birds of prey through the winter months
purely for fun.

Thats enough waffling from me for now I will just go back into lurk mode for awhile and gain a little more information.
