Default New Bosc Hide

Hello,

Looking for a little advice on my new bosc (about 4 month old), since getting him a week ago he seems to be doing well, however he has barricaded himself in his hide, this isn't a problem but I am wondering if I need to take it up to clean inside.

The hide (basically a large cave) is under his basking spot and is very warm inside and full of moss (this was damp but presumably has dried out in the week hes been in there) He comes out and eats (when he thinks the coast is clear) then goes straight back in.

I don't really want to lift it up and disturb him as he is very nervous and this will traumatize him, but on the other hand I don't want to not clean it out if it needs to be ( a bit worried about bacteria ect in it)

Should i pull it up and clean and upset him it or leave him alone ?

His workmanship is pretty impressive he has dug dirt and moss into a wall at the entrance and then dug a tunnel from the hide running to the back on a log in the enclosure

To be honest you shouldnt need to, I find mine have never messed in their hides,, water bowls, worm bowls, even their basking shelf they have, but never in their hide.
