your dragon will sleep with the light on no probs, just make sure you drop the temps to night time temps

My Chinese water dragon has a red bulb that is used day and night. I drop the night temps using a day/night thermostat. The lights hardly on at night anyhow but it doesnt bother him at all, even if the light in the room is on, he sleeps like a log.

definate red light for the win, they are awesome, wont disturb your reps but you can still keep an eye on them, your neighbours may also think you are running a brothel, you will be the coolest guy/most talked about girl in your street

They can't see red light so it doesn't disturb them. But green light may disturb it and stress it out more. Have you got a heat mat you can put in there instead?

When i go out at night and turn the room light off you can see the red light through my curtains. Had quite a few comments..
