Smile BD 2nd clutch after 17 days!!

OMG, I thought the minimum gestation period was 21 days, but Lizzy just laid a clutch of 33 eggs 17 days after her first clutch ever of 24!!

I'm such a proud mum, that's 3 clutches in the incubator already, hope I'll be able to find good homes for all the babies!

How soon do you guys offer food to the mum after giving birth?

advice

Offer asap. most will eat directly after laying. a word of warning. be very careful she has had a lot of clutches in a very short period and this really takes it out of them. be careful she does not have any more so quickly. make sure you feed her up good!

you will have lots of little babies before you know it! sooo cute!

I have offered her a locust but she's not interested, she's just lying on a branch recovering after having a nice warm bath to clean the dirt off of her.

She wasn't mated apart from before the first clutch so shes done this clutch from sperm that she retained from that time, so not a deliberate pregnancy but I was feeding her up after the last clutch so she was chunky enough!!

Put it this was breeding was a bonus for me, not a buisness, and all I really care about is that she's healthy and happy etc (which I've guessed she must be since she's got preggers twice!!

I'm keeping brutus and perky in a separate viv at the mo so she can chill and recouperate and fill out again with out being bothered by the others and I'm going to pick up a pinkie or two to try her on as she turns her nose up at waxies, I think she thinks they're too small to bother with!!

BTW just saw her munch a singular locust!! YAY BEANS!!!
