Default Digging Gecko ........ ?

Hi all,

I swapped my corn snake for 3 gecko's today.

The lady who swapped with me said that the females may start digging when they want to lay eggs.

I just noticed about 2 minutes ago that one of them is digging rapidly.

Does this mean she may want to lay or is it normal behaviour anyway?

Thanks

Where is she digging? Do you have a moist box/laying box in with them? I assume you have 1 male and 2 females together?

Pop a laying box in just in case. Easier than trying to guess.

Yes, I have 1 male and 2 females.

I only got them today so haven't prepared any sort of nesting box e.t.c.

What should I use?

They do dig anyway but will start digging in a particular spot a couple of days before laying and a lot of people are just starting to have their first clutches laid now so could well be that, get a box with damp vermiculite in warm end as a laying box. Also look up incubator on here as you will need one of them as well

my leo did this with no mate, may be gravid although could be time of year but if they are together then it would suggest she is pregnant

You can use an old margerine tub with a hole cut in it or something, you should have a moist hide in there anyway, mine always used their moist hides for laying even though I provided them with seperate laying tubs!

Put some moist moss inside of the tub or some vermiculite or something....
