Default Ideas for making fruit more appealing

Ive got my new gargoyle gecko bohdi and ive noticed he doesnt touch fruit smootie that i know he likes seen as when i feed him it on my fingers he almost takes the skin off. he eats his mealworms fine but i though it nmight have something to do with the fact that the mealies move and the fruit sits there.

I was going to put a shelf in to place the fruit etc up higher in the viv so that it wasnt at ground level.
Putting some mealworms in with the fruit to get the bowl some attention
what do ppl think? agree, disagree any other ideas ?

yes, thats a good idea, put the mealworms in there with the fruit, even if he doesnt want the fruit, some of it will be picked up when he grabs the mealworm. Maybe then he will start eating it. This is what i did with my Berber Skink and it worked a treat.
