To everyone who keeps their beardies in a 4x2x2 viv can they please tell me the best way of achieving the temps needed in the cool/hot and basking zones. im using a thermostat dimmer on a 100watt spotbulb and cant get the ambient temp high enough. even if i take the stat of the spotbulb it is still in the low 80F in the hot end and 70F in the cool. any suggestions>
why have you got your stat set at 105? your stat sensor should be at the cool end about 1" above the substrate and if you set your stat for around 86 then you will find the basking spot gets up to temp.
That's how mine is set up and i get the temps i need.
have managed to reach the required temps: victory: by adding an extra 60watt spot bulb, now i have 85f cool, 95 warm, and 105f basking area, will be swapping my single thermostat to a twin to keep this gradient :2thumb:
