Smile Ig taming.

Ok guys so I got my book Igaunas for dummies and it made quite an interesting read there was a few bits I knew already and I leaned a few things as well tonight we got her out and she has bit and scraped alot of my skin off but I have persivered. So I thought well it is really time for bed so al turn the light out see if I can get her to go sleep on me like the book said and I think she was getting comfy its just her bloody nails they keep catching on my clothes so then I try free them which just makes her go into over drive again I have tried the above the head technique and got whipped in the face, I have put her to bed now and will just keep trying its like taking one step forward and 10 back all the time. Only been trying the new techniques for week now so it is early days, am gonna go into work tomorrow looking like I have self harmed again.

Thanks to the peeps that recomended the book it is good and I think if I cant get her to be better around us the book suggest calling someone in to help so I think I will consult my vet see if she knows anyone I suppose it would be like a behaviourist for a Igauna I need. I will look into this if the situation dont get any better.

No need to call anyone in, there's tons of stuff about iguanas out there, just gain their trust and respect their vulnerable situation when a 6ft primate comes lunging towards them. It takes months, nigh on a year and sometimes never.
