I'm craaaaaaaaaaaaaving another animal! I've already got 2 leopard geckos and i was thinking about getting a bearded dragon or two. But I need to consider the fact that I'm currently at college and i know i wouldnt be able to spend like a crazy amount of time handeling it. Juts my leo's are nocturnal and when i have the afternoon off i want something i can handle then.
However i dont have a lot of space so i was thinking about a crested gecko? I know their nocturnal but there so cool!
what do you guys think?
I'd go for a beardie if you have the room. I've never had a crestie and they are beautiful little things, but I have a beardie and I absolutely love him to bits :flrt: He's been an absolute joy ever since I got him, so easy to handle and genuinely seems to enjoy being around people!
Why not go to a local rep shop and try handling both and see which you prefer. Other factors that could influence your decision is cost, a beardie tends to cost quite a bit to feed, in comparison to a small gecko species. Don't let it turn into a competition of who shouts the loudest, just think which you would be happy looking after for 10+ years : victory:
I personally would go for a crested gecko what with other commitments, however I have owned beardies and they were GORGEOUS. On the not being able to handle too often thing I wouldn't worry, they seem to stay nice and tame even without regular handling. Orion one of my cresties is held the least now, as I am the only one that holds him.
My beardies could go a week without handling, as I would disappear and although they were looked after were not held. They still remained perfect for holding and loved the attention.
