Default What branches from local woodland can i use

Hi there are alot of fresh fallen branches in my local woodland that i am thinking of using in my new viv build for my cwd's. The problem is i am not to sure which are safe and which are not. I know oak is okay and i have an apple tree in my garden that i am going to prune but other than that im not sure so any advice would be really appreciated

Anything but pine. I have used allsorts of branches in my vivs and all I do is let them dry out in a warm room for about a week before adding to viv. Some people disinfect or pour boiling water over them but I've never bothered.
