Hi all,

My beardie is off to the vet for his first check up (I rehomed him recently and he's 2 years old).

I just wondered what you good folk take your reptiles to the vet in?

Is a large shoes box and hot water bottle ok?

Thanks

I use a 9 litre RUB (Really Useful Box) to take my beardy anywhere. Usually I dont bother with heating because I dont normally travel to far with her, but if you are travelling far you can keep the heating up in the car and that should be fine. With a hot water bottle the problem would be that beardies cant feel heat through their bellies

Polystyrene box is best, stops the temp fluctuating wildly when you get in/out of the car etc - especially at this time of year. After 60 secs outside an RUB will shed all it's heat..
