Hi Darling, I cannot believe that gecko! The poor little thing - it looks pathetically thin. no wonder you took it home with you. It was it's lucky day when you went in the shop. You'll have it back on it's feet in no time.
I have spoken to the our pet shop and she is going to put in a frozen order on monday. I weighed the fuzzies so that she could say exactly what we wanted.
How is the little corn snake coming along? How much are you going to be asking for him? I have been given the tentative go ahead to have a snake in my preproom and he might be nice because he is small (at the moment) and pink (how can anyone be frightened of pink?) I said any snake in college would remain mine so that any problem and they would be back at home with me. On the subject of corm snakes I came to feed our rescue last night and boy was she bad tempered. I had left her 5 days since the last feed so I don't know if that is what was the matter with her but she really did give it some rattling and striking. If that is how she was behaving with her proper owner I can see why she was in a field!
I didn't realise how reptiles and snakes miss you when you go away for a few days even with someone in feeding as usual. Mine have been quite funny with me the last week - ah well, no more holidays it is then!!!
You can't think of any use for ordinary fluorescent bulbs can you? They are replacing all the bulbs in the college with energy saving ones and there are hundreds of 2ft daylight bulbs (40w) and tons of 4ft and 5ft bulbs (aroound 35-40w) and they are all going to be crushed, seems a real waste to me. Do you think it would be worth my advertising them on the forum - they could be free to collector or a few pence each?
