I collected my 1st royal python today.
My 6 year old stroked him with his finger but as my son was in front of the snake, this baby python obviously thought said finger was food and struck.... luckily for my son he's still learning to strike and has lousy aim.
My mate looked after 'Nagini' while I visited my grandad who's in late stages of cancer and told me that I should use tongs as Nagini's aim is a bit off or certainly was when he fed him last friday.

As soon as he had struck at the mouse I realised that I was feeding the wrong snake.... as I tugged , thinking I could take said mouse back, he coiled his body tightly around his prey; I got a hiss, his first hiss that I'm aware of, so of course I conceded and I shall buy more mice tomorrow.
I learned today that once he's struck at his prey they's no way he's letting go.....

I bought 3 corn snakes this week, absolutely love them.
First one was a hatchling, born 26/06/2012, bought for my 6 year old (honest!!) it weighs 9 grams.
Second one was while shopping for my 12 year old, who thinks snakes are awesome, well I fell in love within seconds of holding this lovely 2 year old carolina so told my son that this baby was mine, weighs 228 grams.
Third, finally found one my son wanted after viewing lots and traveling about 100 miles, a yearling/ 6 or 7...
