yeah medling bastards, your lucky, some wanker complained about tyson and we had to get rid of him. the housing association had said it would have been ok to keep him otherwise. pretty sure i know who it is aswell. FUNNILY enough i found out the bloke went out with some of the other lads at the flats and cheated on his missus so i may just have to do a bit of meddling of my own to get revenge. im sure she would love to know eh?

Not too bad, thanks, although it is a little overcrowded at the moment until I can get some space in my bedroom to put some of the smaller vivs.

    Hi Luke
    Sorry for not responding earlier
    C. shioedtei are referred to as earth tigers along with Haplopelma but its a little strange common name as, although they'll take on a burrow in captivity they're solely found high up in trees and man made structure in the wild.
I suggest a tall tub, deep cork tube or similar, plenty of substrate and lots of sphagnum moss. You should half fill the cork tub with some of this - it all helps to get them to adopt the hide.
Keep them a little moist (not swampy), humidity should be high and they enclosure should be large with enough ventilation to stop moulds and fungus but to keep the humidity up. I suggest you look for some springtails and woodlice to help with tank maintenance.
If the size of your shioedtei is small then create a similar environment on a smaller scale.
You might want to check AsianArboreals for more info.
