I've currently got 1.1 cornuta and 1.1 caudalis. I had 1.1 schneideri for about 2 years but they both died recently. They cost about £900 a pair. Ive also had peringuey and a caudalis from Namaqualand but the died last year. Dwarf bitis are collectively the most difficult of snakes to keep for any length of time, let alone breed. I intend to get xeropaga next year, they are 2700 euros a trio. I hope to have more luck with them and the stuff I already have for future breeding projects.
I have just seen your interest in dwarf bitis on sa reptiles. I got all my dwarf bitis from the Hamm and Houten shows. There are only 2 regular dealers in dwarf bitis at the shows, one German and one Austrian. Expect to pay 1000 euros up, depending on species. Good luck with the licence.
