hi she was about 8 month old so slowly introduced them and they got on great till one morning i got up and she was dead at the bottom. she had been running about and eating and everything the night before though. coco the one you seen a pic of always protected her he wouldnt let us handle her and when we did he got really snappy.
hi he has been in there for about a year now not sure if its too big for him though. he eats locusts only wont touch anything else. im in the middle of tryin to find out how to put pics on so is he a she then lol could that be why when we bought a female he killed her ?
hi you commented on my post about sexing my water dragon. just looking for a bit of advice at the min i have converted the cupboard under the stirs into a viv for him it about 5ft by 3ft by 4.5ft high is this too big or something cos coco has gone a bit timid since i put him in there he used to love bein handled and now he hates it not sure how to get him tame again and he is my baby thanks
i dont think i vet will probe such a young animal!
i have been in a few pet shops , and they have told me they have males , and there females on sight without me needing to inspect!
you only learn through experience namely your own
yeah please do chris , i like that kinda of thing , ( knowing people are enjoying summit i do)
get a male as well see how they go!
tbh at one year old whoever is telling you that its a male must be a genius , you cant tell at that age tbh mate!
100% unless you probe it , and that not a 100%
virtually all females spend there days nose rubbing at hatchling size , but that not 100% but the best i can suggest , males are lazy and sit about even at that age lol !
its at about 24inch 2years you can see the crest , joules and pores plus swollen tale base on a male!
females just stay the same
