After the first Euathlus it was going to be hard to resist getting another. BugsUK had some Euathlus pulcherrimaklaasi Blue form slings for sale and I placed an order for one. Postage is steep at £9 and this sling is a lot smaller and skittish than my E truculentus, but the service and packaging was of a good standard so I can't complain.

Since its such a nervous tiddler I prodded my finger into the soil to make a shallow burrow which its taken up residence in, although I catch it wandering...

My Euathlus truculentus sling arrived in the post yesterday. I purchased from Goldsilk on this forum and couldn't be more pleased with how everything went.

Its a great little critter, not too fast or skittish, and a beauty. What more could you ask for in a first T? Lastly, I was offered some dwarf sirens by...

Wanted to update. I now have four frog beetles hatched, it was five but unfortunately one of them died. They seem to be at it all the time and I wonder if that contributed towards its death. It was the biggest and nicest looking of them too. I think the first to hatch.

So far they seem to all be blue or slightly green. I wonder if the colour is genetic or down to other factors. I keep the substrate the coccoons are on slightly damp but give it a generous spray down twice a month, its...

Noticed last night atleast two of them are making scratching sounds inside their cocoons. I'll try not to get too hopeful but maybe they'll be hatching out sooner than I thought.
