Great, I should have a large 3.5ft tank for them. How deep do they like the water?

Rightio, thank you And I'll get two hatchlings and pray for the best. If not I'll separate and find them the appropriate mate x How old will they be when I need the 5-7ft long pond?

Oh also can you keep two females together? I just don't like the idea of an animal being alone it's entire life.

So will I need one or two of those Glow Light Clamp Lamp thingies? lol Well we deffo got the house, so I'm building a pond for the goldies giving much more room inside for me to get a nice large tank for my musk. How big do they need a tank when they're fully grown?

I can't seem to find those tanks from Pets at Home I think it may have just been your branch that did them. So looks like it'll be the storage tub. Found out we're moving, so have plenty space. We're even able to build a pond for the goldfish. Can I not put those light bulbs into my spot light lamp? I just think it'll be easier and less expensive. If not then I'll have to research into those clamp lamps, if you have any links regarding them please share. I'd love the idea of building a raised pond for the lil' mite when they're much older.

Thank you hun, very informative. I had no idea about those tanks at pets at home. Will deffo be getting a one. Should be moving house soon, so should have plenty space. Just working out the basking area. I would want a tiny baby one, (hatchling) to watch it grow, so I'd like to start with a small space to not spook it. Can you get bendy lamps? And would I just need the one bendy lamp? As I have a black bendy spot light like lamp, if I just replace the bulb with one of those special reptile bulb will that work fine? I know they're surface dwellers and like to stay on the bottom so was hoping to put little hides on the floor of the box to let them play with. Then have a raised area. Do they eat in or out the water? would it be best I feed them in a different tub? Also how long could I use an internal filter for? I have the heater, thermometer, and an internal filter that's recommended for 20 gallon tanks. Also can I keep fish with them? I've heard that guppys are good with them?

Hi sweetie can you help me? I'm buying a musk turtle next week as a present for my other half, he's been interested in a turtle for months now. We've done quite a bit of research into the food, the temperature etc. Just wanting a bit of experienced advice. Was thinking for a hatchling a storage tub might be best, then to move him or her into a fish tank. We have a basking light already, so opinion please? Thanks,
    Raych x
