hey what's up? here at night it usually cools down very nicely. i'm in the ohio river valley after all. the cool air comes pouring out of the hollows behind my house and the temps drop quickly to the point of being almost chilly, a stark contrast to the conditions during the day. dew sets up as soon as the sun drops behind the hills although we still have a lot of daylight left. the twilight lingers for a long time because we are in the shadow of the hills. this is typical but we do have our muggy nights. if it is clear you can see tons of stars because there is little light pollution here. the tree frog call, especially if it is wet. millions of lightning bugs blink all around you. it is quiet save for the tree frogs. if you have the porch light turned on insects of every kind are attracted in droves. when it is dark, it is really dark like ink. it is eerie. whip-poor-wills sound off around 9 p.m. like clockwork. it is very pleasing.
You do know im SO jealous of you out there in that beautifull wilderness!!! Are you there on a snake job, or do you have the pleasure of living there???
Have a good night trawling the threads, catch you later.Pam.
