    Hi mate, Picta are not the only species, as box turtles also have a capability. This capability lies mostly with neonates and serves those that overwinter in the nest after hatching. I understand thay have mechanism the prevents damaging ice crystals forming.

    Ok thanks alot! Also what does the bulb go in? Im thinking of having the holder on the wall because i dont have floor space for a lamp? Any suggestions?

    Hi there! Ok so im really confused on UV ligthing for musk turtles, ive been told that a 13w and 10% output bulb is perfect, now ive read through past posts and found the you use a 150w bulb? is this right or is that for your other turts? Please help me! Thanks

    hey i read you use sand as a substrate and so do i, i am going to clean my tank properly for the first time soon (as i got my turtles recently) and can i have any tips for cleaning the sand? thank you
