    .......continued

Other than that Bev I really am not sure.
It is a very shy snake at times, random times too, one day it's boisterous then the next it hides for days...if you're offering it a feed every couple of days then that may put him off? I don't want to suggest the obvious stuff to you guys as, well, you breed them, I'd be preaching to the converted
Have you moved the heatmat inside? He seemed to have been spending a lot of time at the bottom of his viv and I was concerned that with the super freezing winter we'd had the temps might not have been getting up enough with the heat mat being outside of the viv. Get a hole drilled, move the mat inside, leave him a week and then maybe try him again, one large slightly warmed up mouse, give the skull a smash too as this is what we did to get him feeding as a hatchling, brain scent got the wheels turning so-to-speak. Keep me informed of how it goes.

Heya Bev, hmm, I'm not sure what's up with him then...

He was eating just fine before you took him, his last feed was only 4 days before you took him and he took that no problems using the usual method we've always used with that snake; open viv, use tongs to wiggle a super size mouse in front of him and a couple of seconds later, all gone. Will only just take the occassional rat, but that takes a lot of work and about an hour of teasing, he was slowly coming round to it though. We warmed the mice we fed him on a heat mat for 5 mins, if you're not doing that then that might help...

yeah i know what you mean. It sticks up about a good milimeter or two which is why I was so worried. It looks like I've starved him but I haven't!
