The best thing to do is just let her come to you.
If you place your hand flat in the viv everyday, maybe with some mealworms or a wax worm on it, and slowly increase the time you have you hand in, she'll start to realise you're not a threat
Solaar is still jumpy and I've had her since July!
hey hunny. I'm proberly being paranoid. We bought Ember on the 30th.. She's eating and pooping fine. But she just hates getting picked up. She flings her head around and tries to run away. Do you think I should wait. Or do you any advice on handling etc. I try and go in everyday. I picked her up in her moist hide last night, she jumped out and walked over me and ended up on my shoulder trying to escape I think! Anyway chat later Hun xx
Thanks a lot.. Will keep an eye out. I got her out yesterday she was really good once I had hold.. A bit skitty but okay. She was so active last night, so I popped some dusted locust in her Viv (not sure weather it was to early to feed her) she ate all 6 in a few seconds... How do I know how many to feed her? Do you just put as many in as she will eat or does it alter? I'm abit miffed.. So nice having a gecko that just eats and doesn't let the bugs escape! Xx
Yes, it's the base colour of the iris. In Bells it's a pinkish hue, in Trempers it's silvery and in Rainwaters it's reddish brown; in theory.
If you have a look at the eye shot on LeeLoo, ignore all the red veining, the iris is silvery.
