That's fine Jordan, I don't mind. I'm by no means an expert but they are pretty straighforward snakes to keep. I keep mine in fairly big enclosures for their size, 4x2x2 and provide them with plenty on climbing. They will use all the space u give them believe me!! Temps are between 85-75 on a gradient. Feeding at the moment every 2/3 weeks but I'm just about to embark on a different regime of feeding smaller items more often as they seem to have a faster metabolism. Humidity isn't measured but I ensure they are sprayed every other day...enough to steam the glass is fine. They are very food orientated so make sure u use feeding tongs!!! Other than that, enjoy him....they are awesome snakes and let me know if u need any more help.

    Thank you very much!
In response to your first message it was from a small shop in Suffolk and the owner was under the impression that it was a tiger centipede, and I was fairly sure that it wasn't.
Thanks again for the help! Very much appreciated.

Scolopendra angulata, I am quite confident with that! Nice purchase...

    hi again Jordan.

I just looked at the picture again and i noticed the furrow at the back of the head plate. So not alternans. I will go back to my books and have a look again

    hello Jordan,

It s not easy to give an id just looking at a pic like this, but I would restrict it either Scolopendra alternans or Scolopendra angulata, with a preference for alternans. Where did you get it? Most centipedes are wild caught, so if your shop knows where it is from, that would help

Sorry for not being more specific on that one!

    Cheers,

    Mika
