This may be a stupid question but do snakes eat their shed skin.

Basically when my snake sheds should i leave it in there, and do they get nutrients form the skin. ive always assumed they eat their shed skin for nutrients, correct me if im wrong please.

No silly questions here. Shed snake skin can potentially harbour bacteria and mites. Snakes do not eat their skin, and it should be removed as soon as possible from the viv. You should also check that the eyecaps and the tip of the tail are on the shed skin, and that they have been shed cleanly. Your snake will need attention if they are still attached.
