Default would a bearded dragon be ok with out a uv light for a week

it will still hav heat lamps n calcium dust although ther is no uv light ?????

it needs uv to help it use the calcium dust that you give it

you do need the uv each day if poss

cos me mate just bought 1 n he hasnt got a uv yet

thats not good he should of got everythink sorted out first then got his dragon it would of been better where it was for a week or so

Well clearly your mate didnt research first, however a uv light is a must. Even though a dragon would probably survive a week without a uv , it can still cause all sorts probs to the dragon which i feel would be unfair to the dragon. There must be a way you can get a light sorted quicker?

This wont help, the glass acts as filter for all the essential UVB rays from the sun........

Lets hope for some good weather so your friend can stand outside with his beardie a couple of times a day. As above this isnt an ideal situation but if needs must a beardie has gone without a lot more for a lot longer.

Give your ma8 a slap and tell him to get moving on that strip light
