Default Advice Needed For Beardies

Hi All

I got some baby Beardies at the weekend and i have not noticed them eating the veg/salad i am putting in for them they are more interested in looking for crickets, i was told by the local store to put some meal worm in with the salad so it starts moving so they go for it and get salad at the same time as the worm.

Is this normal for Beardies of this age?

Thanks
Cj

yeah, they'll start eating more salad in a few weeks/months

don't feed beardies mealworms, high in fat, chitin hard to digest and not that nutritional.

ok Gr8 will keep the meal worm for the girbels then, and just keep putting the salad in until they start eating it.

Thanks for you help

Also what temp should the cold side of the Viv be?

The reptile shop i got the Beardies from set the Viv up for me with 2 60w spots in the hot end angled to the same spot near enough, and also a Ceramic lamp heater which only comes on by thermostat at night due to the spots keeping the viv warm.

Just wanted to make sure the temps are correct for these little beasties lol
