Default help needed with heating

been to a locle rep shop today and bought a lucky reptile thermometer delux
and the instructions are a bit missleading

it says it givves 2 reading one at the device (in) and one at the probe marked (out) the problem is it has 2 probes marked in and out
now what the hell are they onabout is it the 2 probes that pick up the readings and the desplay goes outside or does it go inside the viv

Have not seen this one but i should imagine that if it has 2 probes and they plug in to the device, then plug one in the in section and the other in the out section! if you want to test them, put one in on a heat matt and the other in your room, should give you an in and out temps.
might have got the wrong end of the stick, but if i can help any more just ask!

it is a monitor with 2 perminently atatched wires going from it to 2 sensors and they have in and out on the wires but the paperwork with it is misleading as it says it has an exturnalsensor and you can measure it at the device its self its verry missleading

Im not exactly familiar with this model but it should simply give you two readings from different probes: one inside the viv and one outside (or one at the warm end and one at the cool end) The display should come up on the monitor. If theyre identical probes it doesnt matter really which is which

Thats the advantage of my motto which is not to read the destructions on anything. Bummer about the thermostat.

Yes I've got a couple of these. Forget about the "in" and "out" bit - put one probe in your warm end and one in the cool end of your viv (or wherever you want to measure the temps).
