Default Beardie not going!!

Having got my big boy beardie (Basil) on Tuesday and feeling pretty smug about him at the time, I am now starting to worry because he hasn't done the aforementioned (poo).

He seems to be feeding well on locusts and large mealies but doesn't touch his greens. He is shedding - and coming out a lovely yellow colour, wants to come out of the viv and sit on me most of the time, had him in the garden today and he loved it - seems pretty alert etc. Here are his vital statistics: 18 months old, 19 inches long and 400 grams - any helpful suggestions!

Try giving him a lukewarm bath for about 10 mins or so, just enough water so he can put his feet on the floor and keep his head out, just in case!
Water should stimulate him to 'poo '!

Wink

When I brought an adult female home hun she never went for 3 weeks took her to the vets at 2 weeks and he said to give her another week, when she went, she went I thought ad invested in a rhino it stunk.

Try a drop of veggie oil only a drop mind, that should get things moving, or as suggested a warm bath that normally helps.

Its prob just a move and settling in thing hun ya beardie will go eventually hun.

try the baths definatly if no "poogress" is made p(o)op him to the vets.
dont know where u got him from but if the keeper befor kept on a bad substrate its possible he is already impacked? if he stops eating and seems lathargic these are warning signs! if he is bright then that is good. try to find out wat he was kept on if u dont know.
congrats on yr new pet xxx
