Default help! exo terra heating advice

I have noticied alot of people who seem to keep melting the plastic tops surrounding the wire mesh on the exo-terra terraniums.
how do you heat these sufficiently for a chameleon without melting the plastic????? do i use a stand. do i rest the light domes ontop of the wire mesh. cans some1 please enlighten me?

get an exo light fitting or komodo , get a small squsre bit of ply ,100mm x 100mm , and screw the fitting through the mesh to the wood .. as the meerkat says shimples
