Slate tile; looks amazing, easy to clean, keeps the nails trim and makes nice alternative basking spots

mine are about 18 wks old and just run round with nothing as substrate. They seem happy enough and the poo is easy to clean

Smile Lino's the way to goo!!

I agree with Dark Desires, Lino is a great substrate, i've only had my baby beardie for 6 days- and i went from him initially having play pit sand (which i learnt from numerous sources was not a great way to go) to tissue paper (which was also great until the crickets began dissapearing under it) to now Lino - where i can all that goes on.

Also, you'll find Lino absorbs the heat more, so your Baby Beardie's always happy

Question What Substrate?

Can you just ask yourself a simple question?
Where do Beardies live in the wild?
What are they normally born onto in the wild?
Once you have answered this you will have your answer to your own question. Beadies do not have a roll of Kitchen Towel in the middle of the desert and neither do they have lino!

But like everyone else is saying - everyone has different opinions - I just follow what seems like common sense!
