Question Is this normal for a beardie?

Hi Guys,

My beardie: Jessy has been with me 5 days now,
but i'm just a little bit worried , as when i go to pick him up he immediately wants to run away...

Is this normal? and roughly how long should the process for him to become comfortable with me take?

Many Thanks in advance again guys for your replies

patience...patience ...patience...

My beardie took weeks to settle down and allow me to handle him...just dont be too rough as the beardie will just see you as a threat and always run from you.

I forgot to ask how old is the beardie?

I just got my 9 week old Beardie today so I wouldn't really know about others, but mine already lets me handle it and climbs onto my shoulder and stuff. I think this is because it came from a breeder who handled it daily and was not purchased through a pet shop.

I'm sure with time and effort your Beardie will come around

Good luck
