well for one i wouldnt recommend getting a viv for a gecko... if it is a gecko with claws instead of sticky pads, such as a leapord gecko i would keep it in a faunarium with sand & a hide/plants etc... and this will do for any size gecko...
Whereas if you are getting a gecko with sticky feet, such as a Gargoyle Gecko I would recommend a terrarium that is around 18'' wide, 18" deep and about 2 foot high with plenty of coverage and plants and climbing materials (wood, vine, bark etc...) unless it is going to grow 8"+ then i would recommend a bigger terrarium...

well it depends what type of gecko you are getting.. but seeing as the biggest gecko i have heard of doesn't even reach a foot long i would say that would be a bit big :P

also, i know you probz realise this but if you ever pet a new pet into an older pets tank.. even if it is the same species to disinfect it all :P

hi and welcome
it depends on what type of gecko and what size it is
I can only say with regards to leos and fat-tails ....Leo's & fat-tails do well in vivs ~ a single adult would be okay in a two foot by one foot viv or tank ... I wouldn't keep leo's in fauneriums in a permanent basis.
There are several care sheets on my website which may be of use for you

With regards cresties etc I would suggest speaking with experianced keepers who have these such as FreekyGeeky and Sparkle to name just two

I'm based down in Devon but can arrange couriers at buyers cost which are very reasonably priced

sorry hun but I don't courier through TNT ~ I only use fully insured and DEFRA licensed/registered couriers
