Default Crested gecko not sticking!

Hi all,

One of my first posts so hello everyone!

I know there have been loads of these threads but I am starting to get concerned! I have had my 3 month old crested gecko for about a month now. Over the last week or so I have noticed that he is having real issues sticking to the sides of his Kritter Keeper and is also struggling to stick to my hand and he is slidding all over my hand! I have given him a 15 minute sauna tonight and tried to rub his feet with a damp q-tip! However there has been no improvement and he is still not sticking to anything!!

Thanks in Advance!

sometimes depending upon the size of the gecko and the angle of surface and of course shedding geckos can have issues getting a grip of the surface. I know my smaller geckos can find it a bit tough getting a grip when i first spray their tank at night.

Are you worried about retained shed? also is it able to grip onto anything else? plants, sticks etc?

Lack of Calcium can cause sticking issues too.
Has the crestie got access to UV lighting? What sort of foods and supplements are you using?

Yup, I know people say you *can* keep a crestie without UV but they do so much better with it.
