Default Leo temps

What's the ideal temp for a leopard gecko? First time reptile owner so all help appreciated.i have done my research but keep reading different temps so slightly confused!

Research has shown that wild leopard geckos seem to prefer temperatures imbetween 84-86F but most keepers have they hot end temperatures between 86-88F.

Mine are kept at 87F. And night temperatures should be roughly 70-75F
