Default Can't decide on new snake

I was all ready to get a new snake this week I was going to get a royal, my second snake after my corn . But my friend has just got one and now I want something different . But I don't know what I would like it to be mire challenging than a corn , but go in my viv that's 36x15x15. Been researching loads and all I find are tropical snakes that need high humidity not good in a wooden viv. I would like something a bit fatter than a corn . Please throw some types of snake at me to look up
Thanks

Does it matter that your friend has a royal too?

If you want something chunkier than a corn, but not too big, then what about a western hognose?
They are more challenging than corns and royals (speaking from personal experience) as they often come with a bit of an attitude. Mine is an absolute madame, hisses at everything

Some of the Asian Rat's can be kept with a humid hide. Don't have to have crazy humidity.

I would say it's a good idea to go ahead and get the same as your friend. Means you can have conversations about the species you share and exchange husbandry advice

Taiwanese beauty snakes are larger but can be a handful if you get a bad tempered one. Beautiful snake though but do research a bit before getting one if you have only kept corns.
