Is it possible to house a corn snake in a tall vivarium instead of a wide one? I am asking because I lack the space for a large enclosure but have enough for something taller. I've read that you can keep a corn in a RUB all of it's life and it will be happy but we'd like to give it something a little more swag and cozy.
We haven't recieved out snake yet and we will be keeping it in a RUB at first so we can save up to buy it something better.
What are you're thoughts? we wouldn't mind to keep it in a RUB that's big enough to accomodate it but will a vivarium be better for it? If a vivarium then would a tall one suffice or does it have to be low and long?
There is nothing to say you need a long viv the same as theres nothing saying you cant have a tall viv, we use rubs for ours and they seem more than happy but im sure with the right decor etc it would also like a viv
I keep a couple of females in an arboreal viv and they seem happy enough although they hardly use the height. Personally though I wouldn't compensate length for height - but both is fine.
Well I think that from the information provided in your replies we will keep it in a RUB and then move up to a decent sized Viv when we have a little extra money.
