Default Snake for a beginner

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to get a new snake i have seen a milk snake £60 only a hatchling and wondered what these would be like to keep ?

I have kept a mexican black king snake before and a cali king brown and banana but i had to leave them at an x gf's house.

All advice would be great !!!!!

Many thanks
Graham

milk snakes are nice... i would recommend corn snakes, they have wicked temperaments, and dont grow too big. ball pythons are easy and calm, but sometimes a bit temperamental with food. im biased.... corn snakes!!!

The best advice would be to look at different snakes, find a species you like and you think you can confidently look after and research how to keep it.

Then go buy one.

Milk snakes mke very good starting snakes, usually quite calm, not fussy eaters.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the advice i am in the process of purchasing a royal python and also a king snake as i love both these snakes and always wanted a royal python from a very early age.

I do have setups for them but would be looking to get 3ft viv's for them both in the near future.

Many thanks
