Hello and

I'm not too sure on this one as my beardies always ate their fruit and veg.

There are loads of experts on here though and undoubtedly someone will have experienced this and be along to help!

Have you tried putting mealworms in the salad dish? That usually gets them to eat their greens. Of course you'll have to keep an eye that the lil buggers don't wriggle out and bury themselves beneath the substrate

Another one to try is rocket, mine LOVES rocket. I think a lot of beardie owners find that their beardie enjoys a heaping handful of rocket

OR..... Raspberries, the colour of them is soo bright that they can't not notice them, also they seem to love them. Chuck a few chopped up within the salad and see what it does, not too many though and you can't use raspberries all the time as they're very acidic and watery....not good for a beardie.

If they don't work let us know, theres always someone out there with another idea

mine likes to be handfed. When you feed him crix, try offering leaves too.
Also I leave the veggies for him early in the morning and feed him bugs in the afternoon. So if he is hungry when he wakes up, he can have some salad =)

I really wouldn't worry about it too much. Young beardies will always prefer live food to veg & as they get older & bigger, the bugs stay the same size. Therefore the bugs don't fill their bellies up as much as they used to so the beardies tend to eat more veg. They also work out veg will always be in the same place so they don't have to hunt or chase it down.
The golden rule with beardies is feed them as much live as they can eat for about 15 min each day, then leave them with veg & berries. Don't forget that dandelion is very good both leaves & flowers but young beardies will always eat more live than veg & change as they get older/bigger.
