Congrats.

Don't mean to rain all over your parade but it seriously concerns me such animals are so easy to get hold off.
These aren't pets IMO - they haven't been bred long enough in a domestic setting. These animals have been bred for hundreds of years to guard livestock against large predators in very remote areas, without the guidance of humans.

Socialisation and habituation is so very important, so is getting him to trust you to handle situations so he knows he doesn't have to.

Had Samson a Bullmastiff before Typhon. I haven't gone in blind. I'm used to large, head strong dogs.

That typed I absolutely agree. ALL dogs are too easy to adopt/buy. They're ALL a massive commitment. And large breeds can be incredibly dangerous in the wrong or naive hands.

Grady: That's strange, sir. I don't have any recollection of that at all.

I saw your posts about him - an amazing dog and truly a credit to you!

Was going to type a long reply but don't want to take your thread off topic...

Don't worry about that. It's always great to have have valid and interesting discussions. It may well very help others in the future too via a Google search.
