Default Lost our Beardie today.

Hi everyone.
Today we lost Drake our nearly 12 year old bearded dragon.
Obviously we are all gutted but we kind of need urgent advice on what to do with his remains. The local vet we use is closed until 8am tomorrow and we said we were going to get him cremated through them. I don't wish to bury him in our garden.

So my question is should I find somewhere else today or will he be ok until the morning? We have put him in a shoe box for now. Would he need to be put in the freezer until the morning?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for your loss. You can pop him in the freezer until you can get to the vets. As long as you are not having a post mortem done otherwise freezing is no good you need to pop him in the fridge instead. Again sorry for your loss.

Thank you Debbie. I appreciate it. In the end we decided to bury him in my mother in laws garden as it was more suitable than ours.

Okay that's fine if that's what you prefer. Cremation can be expensive even for a small reptile.
