Male CB 2015 Tokay gecko for rehoming to experienced keeper
Me and my partner got a tokay gecko back in april this year and not once have we seen him eat.
He was around 8 months old. We had an exo terra 45x45x45 for his with plenty of places to hide and plants etc. We sprayed him twice a day. Our thermometer at first wasnt reading quite high enough, so we got him a red basking lamp and a better thermometer maybe a week later and his temps from then on were perfect. We tried locusts, mealworms, crickets and wax worms and still never noticed him eating.
a month later he started to look noticeably thin and he was never his normal light blue colour, always black.
So we moved him into another quieter darker room to further reduce stress for him and still we noticed no improvement.
We followed all advice from a vet and our local reptile shop and eventually we ended up crushing up locusts and calcium powder to create a paste to feed him by syringe as it's now been since april that he's not eaten.
We have absolutely run out of ideas and advice from others and he is now dangerously thin but still has a little bit of tokay spirit left in him.
We've tried everything but clearly we are just not able to rehabilitate him and we really want someone with a wealth of knowledge and experience to nurse him back to health please.
We currently have him in a small rub because we've drastically reduced the space he lives in (by advice of out shop) so he would come in that.
Or we do have his exo terra (which is now empty of all decor) and we would like at least the money we paid for the exo terra which was £50 ovno, we have obviously specified a price for the tokay as a rehoming fee but this is negotiable.
please contact Ben on 07787305642 in the first instance
or Emily on 07988367109 (not between monday 13th and friday 18th as not in the country)
We live in southampton so collection preferred or delivery can be arranged, location depending, for fuel money.

I have crested geckos and would be more than happy to take on your tokay gecko and encourage eating but for free. I have a spare exo terra that he can be transferred into, I have previously rehabilitated a bearded dragon so realise the commitment a sick reptile.
Look forward to hearing from you,
