Default Urgent help needed!!!!

my dog has managed to get hold of my hemans tortoise from his tortoise table (long story) and maul him - some of the bottom part of his shell is missing and there is some blood obviously from the blood vessels but its not actually bleeding - my reptile vet isnt around until wednesday at the earlies - WHAT DO I DO ???? OH PLEASE HELP SOME-ONE WHITH SOME ADVICE I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO - I thought he was dead but I have put him under the heat lamp and he's come back out obviously he's in shock but do I bathe him do I take him to a normal vet and risk them not knowing what to do??? theres about 1/2 inch bite of his shell missing just under where his head is and a tiny bit out of the top - he's not moving much

the same thing happened to me so you are not alone,

first thing you need to do is get him to a vets he will need antibiotics, its very important that you get him to a vets asap

look, you really need to get to a vets, ANY vets is better than yoy sitting there doing nothing. do not apply any creams or anything to him. leave him alone and get to a vets ASAP. they willhave to flush his cavity out (if its punctured) and get him patched up. the longer you wait the more the risk. even if you havent got any money, JUST GET HIM TO A VET ASAP.
